1. Abraj Al Bait
It is a Postmodern styled structure located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The structure is a Government-owned building and Saudi Binladin Group was the main contractor of the building. Its constructional cost was 15 billions USD. The construction was started in 2004 and opened officially in 2012. Dar Al-Handasahwas the architect and also worked as structural engineer. Its architectural height is 601m (1972ft) which is the third tallest building in the world. This gigantic building is used as both residence and hotel. The hotel has world’s largest clock face. It is one of the most magnificent structures in Saudi Arabia. (m.c)
