6. Black Sand Beach, Lost Coast, California
The black sand beach of California stretches about 80 miles long and is one of the lightest traveled coasts. This is a large beach with offshore reefs just north to the town of Shelter Cove. The beach is a 3.5 miles stretch of coastline and 45 miles south of Eureka of North California. Though the beach permits swimming here but most of the people don’t. It is not such a beach that attracts the tourists. But you can wonderfully hike along this and stop to take pictures. (m.c)
